3. Install the prop shaft flange.

Caution:  Stake the flange nut onto the output shaft. Use the two staking grooves on the shaft to locate the staking points. Failure to stake the
flange nut may result in damage to the transmission.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

Note:  Use a NEW propeller shaft flange nut.

4. Install the NEW propeller shaft flange nut and tighten to 105 Nm (77 lb ft).
5. Remove the propeller shaft flange holding fixture J 45012  .
6. Install the transmission mount assembly. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement (Except CTS-V)   (See: Transmission Mount/Service and

Repair)Transmission Mount Replacement (CTS-V)   (See: Transmission Mount/Service and Repair).

7. Remove the transmission jack.
8. Install the drive shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (RPO LP1/LY7)   (See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair)Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement (RPO LSA)   (See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and
Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair).

9. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (With LY7 or LLT)   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust

System/Service and Repair).

10. Lower the vehicle.
