1. Install the inside door handle cable (2) to the door latch.
2. Install the electrical connector.
3. Install the door latch into the door.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

4. Install the door latch screws (3) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
5. Install the front side door latch cover.
6. Install the inside handle cable into the retainers (1).
7. Install the outside door handle rod (1) into the latch clip (2), if equipped.
8. Close the clip.
9. Check for proper operation of the door handles, latch cylinder, and door latch.

10. Install the water deflector.
11. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement   (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair).
