Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement

Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the cross car brace, if necessary. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Frame/Cross-Member/Service and

Repair).

2. Remove the oil fill cap.
3. Disengage the cover/shield from the ball studs by pulling up firmly on the right rear and left front of the engine cover.
4. Remove the engine cover/sight shield.
5. Remove the front compartment sight shield, if necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement   (See: Body and
