Power Steering Pump Replacement

Power Steering Pump Replacement (V6)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Air Dam/Service

and Repair).

2. Remove the front compartment lower noise shield. Refer to Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive)   (See: Body

3. Place drain pans under the vehicle.
4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
5. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (V8)   (See: Power Steering Pump Pulley

6. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.
7. Disconnect the power steering gear inlet hose fitting from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement
