Parking Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Block the rear drive wheels.
2. Release the electronic park brake cable tension, if equipped. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling (Electric Park Brake) (See: Brakes
and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Cable/Service and Repair/Procedures/Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling
(Electric Park Brake)).
3. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
5. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and
Repair).
Note: Do not disconnect the fuel lines or brake pipe fittings.
6. Release the fuel and brake pipe bundle from the frame rail clips (1).
7. Release the fuel and brake pipe bundle retainer (2) from the vehicle underbody.
