Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement

Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LLT)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Frame/Cross-Member/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7)   (See: Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel

3. Remove the intake manifold insulator.
4. Remove the wiper transmission. Refer to Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement   (See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Gear

Box/Service and Repair).

5. Remove the fuel pipe shield to intake manifold bolts (1).
6. Remove the fuel pipe shield to cylinder bolt (1).
7. Carefully remove the fuel pipe shield from the vehicle. Take care not to damage the insulation behind the shield.
