INOPERATIVE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH - THM 200-4R
Some 1983 "C" cars equipped with THM 200-4R transmissions may experience a condition of an inoperative torque converter clutch. On DFI equipped
vehicles, a code 39 would also be present. This condition may be caused by the torque converter clutch harness locating clip grounding the wiring to the
transmission control valve assembly.

For identification purposes, the transmission's serial number tag is located in the right rear of the THM 200-4R transmission case (refer to Figure 1) and
uses the following format:

THM 200-4R transmissions with any date of build codes prior to 245 may have been assembled with the TCC harness locating clip incorrectly
