REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

Mast Installation

1. If the antenna mast is completely down, have a helper turn radio on (ignition key in ACC position). When the mast tip (finial) is extended

approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch), immediately disconnect power by pulling the fuse.

2. If the antenna mast is already above the fender, remove power by pulling the fuse.
3. Remove insulator stop using a 14 mm, deep well, 12-point socket.
4. Mast tip, using a wrench or suitable tool on flats of mast tip.

To keep rod assembly from turning, grip rod with pliers padded with cloth or rubber.

Do not bend the rod.

5. Inner and outer tube assemblies by sliding rod assembly using long nose pliers or fingers. remove the 200/300 tube assemblies from the antenna,

sliding them over the 100 rod assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Lubricate connector with supplied lubrication before assembling new mast.
2. Slide the assembly tool over the connector to compress the fingers. (Assembly tool is included in replacement package.)
3. Slide mast assembly over rod assembly and into stationary tube past connector fingers.
