Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair

1. Remove rocker arm covers.
2. Remove rocker arm support retaining nuts from stud headed cylinder head bolts, Fig. 4. Removing the rocker arm support with the rocker
arms and pivots attached is recommended since the pivot assemblies may be damaged if pivot bolt torque is not removed evenly against
valve spring pressure.
3. Secure support in a suitable vise and remove rocker arms and pivots.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten pivot bolts to specifications.
