Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
Chime Module Power and Ground
Voltage is applied through two fuses to the Chime Module. Trunk Compartment Fuse C7 supplies battery voltage (to terminal B1) at all times through
CKT 40, allowing the Chime Module to operate with the ignition OFF. The module is grounded at terminal B2 through CKT 50 at ground G304
(DeVille/Concours) or through CKT 150 at ground G301 (Eldorado/Seville). Engine Compartment Fuse A3 is an ignition 1 input (to terminal D2)
through CKT 39 and applies voltage when the ignition is in RUN, BULB TEST or START. The input voltage from Fuse A3 is primarily used to signal
the Chime Module when the ignition is in RUN. If the ignition is in RUN the module will not allow the lights on warning to operate.
