1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
2. Remove the brake caliper assembly. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front (Without J55).
3. Support the caliper assembly away from the rotor.
4. Remove the brake rotor.

Installation Procedure

Important:  Whenever the rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or contaminants from the wheel bearing flange and
the brake rotor mating surfaces. Failure to do this may result in increased lateral runout of the rotor and brake pulsation.

1. Clean the mating surfaces on the rotor and the wheel bearing flange.
2. Install the rotor over the wheel studs onto the wheel bearing flange.
3. Install the brake caliper assembly. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front (Without J55).
4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.

Brake Rotor Replacement- Rear (Without J55)

J 42450-A Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit

1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
2. Remove the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Rear (Without J55).
3. Support the caliper assembly away from the rotor.
4. Remove the brake caliper bracket assembly from the knuckle. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement - Rear (Without J55).
5. Remove the brake rotor.

Installation Procedure 

Important:  Whenever the rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or contaminants from the wheel bearing flange and

1. Use the J 42450-A in order to clean the mating surfaces on the wheel bearing flange and the rotor.
2. Install the rotor over the wheel studs onto the wheel bearing flange.
3. Install the brake caliper bracket. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement - Rear (Without J55).
