9. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack.

10. Remove the nut securing the engine mount to the engine mount bracket.
11. Lower the engine assembly to obtain clearance for the J41816 below the body rail.

12. Place the remover pilot into the end of the crankshaft.
13. Remove the crankshaft balancer using the J41816.
14. Clean and inspect the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Clean and Inspect.

Installation Procedure 

1. Install the crankshaft balancer to the engine. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Installation.
2. Raise the engine assembly into position.

3. Install the nut securing the engine mount to the engine mount bracket. 

Tighten the mount nut to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.). 

4. Remove the engine support jack.
5. Remove the J44214.
