Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Left

 
Removal Procedure 

1. Remove the two nuts (3) attaching the AIR tube (2) to the exhaust manifold (1).
2. Remove the engine mount and bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement (Front) or Engine Mount Replacement (Right).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.

4. Remove the two bolts at the manifold outlet flange (4).
5. Remove the oxygen sensor if replacement is necessary. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Replacement - Bank 2.

6. Remove the exhaust manifold bolts.
7. Remove the manifold and the gasket. Discard the gasket.
8. Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Clean and Inspect (Left).
