Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure
Caution:  Refer toSIR Caution   in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer toSeat Replacement - Bucket  (See: Service and Repair/Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
2. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer toSeat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front  (See: Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front)

3. Remove the front seat belt assembly. Refer toSeat Belt Replacement - Driver or Passenger   .

Important:  Note the air line, if equipped, and electrical wiring routing during disassembly in order to ensure proper air line and
electrical wiring routing during reassembly.

4. Disconnect and remove the remaining electrical connectors and the air lines that are attached to the seat back frame.

5. Remove the four fasteners retaining the seat back frame to the recliner.
6. Lift up on the seat back frame in order to disengage the seat back from the recliner.

Installation Procedure

1. Slide the seat back frame down into the recliner and align the fasteners holes.

Notice:  Refer toFastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the four seat back frame fasteners.

Tighten the seat back frame fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer toSeat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front  (See: Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front) .
