8. Using J 28733-B separate the wheel bearing and hub from the drive axle.
9. Remove the wheel bearing and hub and dust shield.
Installation Procedure
Important:

Clean rust and foreign material from the knuckle mounting face, bore and chamfer to allow for proper seating of the bearing and knuckle.

Do not handle the wheel bearing and hub by the ABS sensor wire.
1. Install the dust shield, taking care not to damage the bearing outboard lip seal.
2. Install the wheel bearing and hub to the drive axle. Apply a light coating of grease to the steering knuckle bore.
3. Install the drive axle nut and draw wheel bearing and hub onto the axle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the wheel bearing and hub mounting bolts.

Tighten the wheel bearing and hub mounting bolts to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
