Rear Blower Motor Inoperative (Install Terminal In Rear Fuse Block)

2006 Cadillac DTS
with Limousine Conversion Option (RPO V4U)
Condition
Some customers may comment on an inoperative rear blower motor.
Cause
This condition may be caused by a missing terminal for the RUN relay in the rear fuse block.
Correction
Technicians are to install a new terminal into the rear fuse block using the following procedure:
1.
Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to the Seat Cushion Replacement-Rear procedure in SI.
2.
Remove the rear fuse block cover.
3.
Remove the following components - at callouts 1 through 4 above - from the rear fuse block. It is not necessary to remove all the fuses from the
rear fuse block. Refer to the label on the rear fuse block cover and the illustration above for help in locating the components. The tables in the
Electrical Center Identification Views section of SI also have detailed information about the rear fuse block.
Important:
Note the location of relay R3. The terminal to be installed will be located under this relay.
