EGR VALVE - PROM INCOMPATIBILITY

MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 ELDORADO AND SEVILLE WITH FEDERAL EMISSION SYSTEMS
A production change was made affecting the PROM and EGR valve calibrations on 1984 Federal Eldorados and Sevilles (excluding "E" convertible) at
the following breakpoints:

Eldorado

Since the PROM is matched to the EGR valve calibration and the first generation PROM's are no longer available, a PROM replacement will necessitate
replacement of the EGR valve on pre-breakpoint cars.
