GROUP 7 - TRANSMISSION - MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
1.
HIGH SHIFT POINTS - 1982 "C" CARS WITH 5.7L DIESEL AND 350C TRANSMISSION
1982 "C" cars equipped with the 5.7 liter diesel engine and 350C transmission may experience higher than normal or delayed transmission
shift points. This condition may be caused by low vacuum at the modulator due to a disconnected or damaged EGR valve vacuum hose on
the underside of the air cleaner.
2.
OIL PRESSURE CHART REVISION - THM 200-4R
The THM 200-4R transmission (model OM) replaced the THM 350-C transmission on 1982 "C" cars equipped with the 5.7 liter diesel
engine during mid-November, 1982 production. The line pressure readings for the OM model differs from those of all other THM 200-4R
transmission models used in 1981 through 1983 Cadillacs. The folllowing chart is a supplement to the line pressure reading chart on Page
200-4R-3 of the 1982 Cadillac Service Information Manual for model OM transmissions.
