Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

1.

If equipped with Automatic Level Control, disconnect air lines from shock absorber fittings.

2.

With the rear axle supported properly disconnect shock absorber at upper and lower mountings. Use care not to damage brake hoses or lines
when removing shock absorber.

3.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. When installing shocks equipped with automatic level control, air ports should face front of vehicle.
b. Extend shocks completely before installation.
