Traction Disable Switch: Description and Operation
DISABLE/ENABLE TRACTION CONTROL
The Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Traction Control System (TCS) may be deactivated by the operator if desired. In order to deactivate the
ABS with TCS, with the engine running, depress the traction control disable button in the instrument panel compartment and hold for 2 seconds. This
will cause the "TRACTION CONTROL" lamp on the instrument cluster assembly to illuminate and set a current Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 62
in the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) assembly. The system will remain deactivated until the ignition switch is cycled. A
history DTC 62 will remain set in the EBTCM assembly.
