Compressor/Pump: Service and Repair
Air Compressor, Replace

1986-87 Cadillac & 1985 Cadillac Exc. DeVille & Fleetwood

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Deflate system through service valve.

3.

Disconnect electrical connectors from exhaust solenoid and compressor motor.

4.

Disconnect air line from air dryer by rotating spring clip and carefully pulling off connector.

5.

Remove two screws securing compressor bracket to radiator cradle on Brougham and DeVille or to wheelwell on Eldorado and Seville.

6.

Remove compressor from vehicle.

7.

Remove compressor mounting bracket by removing isolator mounting screws.

8.

Reverse procedure to install. Moisten air line O-ring to facilitate assembly.
