WIPER MOTOR STARTING AT HIGH SPEED ONLY

MODELS AFFECTED:

1989-1990 DE VILLES AND FLEETWOODS

Some 1989-1990 DeVilles and Fleetwoods may exhibit a condition of the wiper motor starting in high speed only. This condition may be caused by a
burr on the internal motor park latch. The burr may prevent the necessary movement of the latch for a low speed start.

To repair this condition install the service package, P/N 22063283, Park Switch Assembly in the wiper motor as indicated in the Service Information
Manual. Apply grease to the latch slot as indicated in Figure 1.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation N2620 at .7 hour.
