REAR QUARTER UPPER MOLDING GAPS TO QUARTER PANEL (REPLACE MOLDING)
MODELS AFFECTED:
1993 FLEETWOODS (FWD) AND FLEETWOOD BROUGHAMS (RWD)
Some owners 1993 Fleetwoods (FWD) and Fleetwood Broughams (RWD) may have a rear quarter upper molding assembly which gaps to the quarter
panel.
This condition may be caused when the quarter panel and molding contours vary relative to each other. This was corrected in production after and
including VIN 1G6DW5273PR719047.
To repair this condition replace the existing molding with a new molding. The new molding has the front stud relocated forward approximately 20 mm
(3/4"). New moldings can be ordered from GMSPO using P/N's 12522116-RH and 12522117-LH.

Remove quarter molding from quarter panel per Service Information Manual procedures, Section 10-7.
2.
Clean quarter panel surface using a 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water. Make sure surface is dry before installing the new molding.
