Fuel Supply Line: Service and Repair
Fuel Supply/Return/or Emission Pipes

To reduce the risk of fire and personal injury always follow the proper procedure for disconnecting and connecting fuel pipe quick
connect fittings. This will ensure good connections and prevent possible leaks.

Safety glasses must be worn when using compressed air, as flying dirt particles may cause eye injury.

DO NOT attempt to repair flexible nylon fuel pipes due to possible safety hazard. Replace only with the same type of flexible fuel pipes
and fittings as those removed.
When installing new flexible nylon fuel pipes, make certain that the lines are not kinked. New nylon fuel pipes are very flexible and can be easily routed.
However, when exposed to gasoline for 72 hours, the pipes will harden somewhat. Though small kinks are not detrimental to vehicle driveability, they
could have an effect on customer perception.
Fuel Line Routing
REMOVAL:
1.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.
Disconnect the fuel pipe connectors.
