1.
Drain coolant level below that of thermostat housing.
2.
Remove upper air filter assembly if necessary.
3.
Remove upper thermostat housing attaching bolts, Fig. 4.
4.
Remove upper thermostat housing, then thermostat and gasket from lower housing.
5.
Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque upper thermostat attaching bolts to specifications.
b. Fill cooling system, bleed system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/COOLING SYSTEM BLEED.
