Upper Intake Manifold Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement   (See: Intake Manifold Cover Replacement).
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LF1)   (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air

3. Disconnect evaporative pipes as needed.
4. Remove the engine coolant air pipe. Refer to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Replacement (LF1)   (See: Cooling System/Coolant

).

5. Remove the charge air cooler outlet duct. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Duct Replacement   ().
6. Remove the secondary air injection pump pipe. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Pump Pipe Replacement   (See: Powertrain

Management/Emission Control Systems/Air Injection/Air Injection Hose/Tube/Service and Repair/Secondary Air Injection Pump Pipe
Replacement).

7. Remove the fuel injector wiring harness plug from fuel injector wiring harness bracket.
