Non-Memory Six-Way Power Seat Wiring Harness Inspection and Service Procedure
3M Scotch Electrical Moisture Sealant Butyl Tape/Patch, P/N 06147 or 06149, and a tie strap are required for this repair.
The wire harness on front non-memory 6-way power seats may chafe or be pinched by the seat frame.
1. Determine which front seat has the non-memory six-way power seat option. Only one of the two front seats will have the non-memory six-way
power seat option.

If the driver seat is equipped with the non-memory six-way power seat option, the passenger seat is equipped with a manual seat. Inspect and
repair ONLY the driver seat.

If the driver seat is equipped with the memory six-way power seat option, the passenger seat is equipped with a non-memory six-way power
seat option. Inspect and repair ONLY the passenger seat.
2. Adjust the seat to the forward position to gain access to the rear bolts.
3. Raise the seat to the full up position using the rear vertical lifter switch (1).
4. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SI.
5. Remove the rear seat bolts.
6. Pull the seat rearward and then tilt the seat back until the seat is resting on its backside.
