Compact Disc Player (CD): Removal and Replacement

Remote CD Changer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (Left Hand Drive)  (See: Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Radio Replacement (Left Hand Drive)

)Radio Replacement (Right Hand Drive)  (See: Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Radio Replacement (Right Hand Drive)) . 

2. Remove the screws that retain the remote CD changer to the radio.
3. Disconnect the electrical lead from the radio to the CD changer and remove the changer from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the remote CD changer to the radio and connect the electrical lead.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the retaining screws that secure the CD changer to the radio.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical/audio and coaxial cable connectors to the radio.
4. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (Left Hand Drive)  (See: Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Radio Replacement (Left Hand Drive)
