Lower Intake Manifold Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air
Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement) .
3. Remove the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Air
Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair) .
4. Note the booster hose routing. Disconnect the brake booster check valve and hose from the brake booster.
5. Reposition the brake booster hose to the intake manifold.
6. Disconnect the purge solenoid valve electrical connector.
