Fuel Return Line: Service and Repair
Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Chassis
Removal Procedure
The fuel system hose/pipes are serviceable individually or as a complete fuel/brake bundle assembly, the following procedure is servicing the fuel
hose/pipes individually.
Caution: Refer to Relieving Fuel Pressure Caution (See: Fuel Pressure/Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information) .
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (With CH 48027) (See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair/Fuel

2. Remove the fuel pipe retaining clip from the fuel pipe. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel Line Coupler/Service and
Repair/Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .
3. Disconnect the fuel pipe (2) from the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel Line Coupler/Service and
Repair/Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .
4. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge line (3) from the purge solenoid.
5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
