Air Cleaner Element Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement  (See: Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair) .
2. Loosen the air cleaner cover screws.

3. Open the air cleaner cover and remove the air cleaner element.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the air cleaner element and close the air cleaner cover.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the air cleaner cover screws.

Tighten the air cleaner cover screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

3. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement  (See: Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair) .
