Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the front compartment sight shield as necessary.

Important: Use a 6-point socket to remove the oil filter cap.

3. Remove the oil filter cap.

Important: It is normal for oil to drain from the oil filter chamber in the oil filter adapter housing. Do NOT replace the oil filter adapter
for this condition.

4. Remove and discard the oil filter cartridge.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.
6. Place a suitable drain below the oil pan drain plug.
