5. Install the SIR bracket into position as marked prior to removal.
6. Install the bolts (1, 2) which secure the SIR bracket to the I/P upper and lower support beams.
Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
7. Position the knee bolster bracket to the center support bracket as marked prior to removal.
8. Install the bolts (3) which secure the knee bolster bracket to the center support bracket.
Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
9. Connect the SIR module electrical connector.
10. Secure the electrical connector retainer to the SIR bracket.
11. Install the CPA to the SIR module electrical connector.
12. Secure the I/P harness retainer to the SIR bracket.
13. Install the outlet duct to the right side window defogger.
14. Install the I/P carrier.
15. Install the console.
16. Enable the SIR system.

Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to the following procedures in Restraint Systems:

SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the console.
4. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) carrier.
5. Tilt the steering wheel to the lowest position.
