108 and 114 of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, it is illegal for a dealer to sell a new motor vehicle which the dealer knows does not
comply with an applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. As a consequence, if you sell any of these motor vehicles without first performing the
campaign correction, your dealership may be subject to a civil penalty up to $1,000 for each such sale.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Raise vehicle.
2.
Remove adjustable plastic retainer (chicken band).
3.
Remove hose clamps.
4.
Remove fuel tank filler neck hoses. Make sure the fuel in the fuel tank is below the filler neck opening before the hose is removed.
5.
Install new fuel tank filler neck hose P/N 14049494 (1-3/4" diameter) or P/N 14049478 (1-3/8" diameter) depending on the size of hose removed
from the vehicle.
6.
Install (2) new hose clamps P/N 2260845 (1-3/4") or P/N 2488394 (1-3/8") depending on size of hose required (See Step 5).
7.
Install (1) adjustable plastic retainer P/N 3816659.
8.
Lower vehicle.
9.
Install campaign completion label on radiator support.
