Hood Link Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Raise and support the front of the hood.
2. Remove the bolts (8) that secure the link assembly (6) to the hinge.
3. Remove the bolts (5) that secure the link assembly to the fender.
4. Remove the link assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the link assembly (6) to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the bolts (5) that secure the link assembly to the fender.
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3. Install the bolts (8) that secure the link assembly (6) to the hinge.
