C 3500 HD Truck 2WD V8-8.1L VIN G (2002)
1. Install the brake rotor to the hub.
Important: Ensure that the threads are clean and greaseless before applying the thread locker.
2. Apply thread locker GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488), or the equivalent, to the threads of each brake rotor bolt.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the bolts that mount the brake rotor to the hub.
Tighten the brake rotor bolts 5/8 in OD-5 bolt pattern, to 256 Nm (189 ft. lbs.).
4. Clean both sides of the brake rotor with Brake Parts Cleaner GM P/N 12345754 (Canadian P/N 993119), or the equivalent.
5. Install the hub and brake rotor assembly.
6. Inspect the brake rotor for runout after installation.
7. Install the brake caliper.
8. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
11. Slowly release the brake pedal.
12. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 10-11 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
13. Fill the brake master cylinder to the proper level.

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
Notice: Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic's wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from it's mount and the hydraulic flexible brake
hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may
cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.
3. Remove the caliper from the mounting bracket and support the caliper with heavy mechanic's wire or equivalent. DO NOT disconnect the
