4. Remove the brake rotor and hub assembly.
5. Press the wheel studs out of the brake rotor and hub assembly.
6. Remove the brake rotor from the hub.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Any new rotor must have the protective coating removed from the friction surfaces before being placed in service. Use Goodwrench Brake
Parts Cleaner, GM P/N 123777981 (Canadian P/N 10953463), or the equivalent, and wipe the surface clean with clean cloths. Do not use gasoline,
kerosene, or other oil base solvents which may leave an oily residue. This residue is damaging to the brake lining and is flammable.
1. Install the brake rotor to the hub.
2. Install the wheel studs into the brake rotor and hub assembly.
3. Clean both sides of the brake rotor with Brake Parts Cleaner GM P/N 12345754 (Canadian P/N 993119) or the equivalent.
4. Install the brake rotor and hub assembly to the vehicle.
5. Inspect the brake rotor for runout after installation.
6. Install the brake caliper.
7. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
10. Slowly release the brake pedal.
11. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 9-10 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
12. Fill the brake master cylinder to the proper level.

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and the wheel assembly.
3. Remove the splash shield bolts.
4. Remove the splash shield (1).
