Propeller Shaft Slip Yoke Boot Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement   (See: Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement).

Note:  Mark the front propeller shaft to the slip yoke prior to removal of the boot. Failure to do so could cause the propeller shaft to be out of
balance.

3. Mark the in the notch (1) in the front propeller shaft with the V (2) on the slip yoke.

4. Remove the propeller shaft boot (2) from the propeller shaft (1).
