J 41099 Skip Shift Sensor Remover/Installer
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair)
2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust Muffler with Resonator, Exhaust, and Tail Pipe Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and
Exhaust/Exhaust System/Muffler/Service and Repair/Exhaust Muffler with Resonator, Exhaust, and Tail Pipe Replacement)
3. Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
4. Remove the transmission mount. Refer to Transmission Rear Mount Replacement (See: Transmission Mount/Service and Repair/Tremec 6-Speed
- Manual Transmission)
5. Disconnect the reverse lockout solenoid electrical connector.
6. Using the J 41099, remove the reverse lockout solenoid (2).
7. Remove the bolt and the reverse lockout assembly, if necessary.
