Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Brake Fluid Irritant Warning).
1. Using a suitable tool, remove and properly discard the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
2. Clean the master cylinder reservoir and master cylinder assembly with denatured alcohol to remove any accumulated dirt and debris and allow to
dry.
3. Disconnect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.
4. Carefully spread the 4 master cylinder reservoir locking legs and lift the master cylinder reservoir (1) upward.
