7. Squarely press the bearing (1) off the surface on the center shaft.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the new bearing into the driveshaft using the locally fabricated tool that bears only on the bearing inner race.
2. Press on the bearing (1) until the inner race bottoms out against the shoulder on the driveshaft.
Drive End Housing Bushing
REMOVAL
1. Inspect the drive end housing bushing (9) in order to verify it the drive end housing bushing needs replacement.
2. Use the following procedure in order to remove the drive end housing bushing (9) from the drive end housing (7) if the drive end housing bushing
needs replacement.
2.1. Drive out the plug, if present, from inside the drive housing.
2.2. Use a tile in order to clean away any remnants of the old stake and any metal shavings in order to prepare for installation of a new plug.
2.3. Use a suitable tool in order to press out the bushing.
