Replacement of A/C Evaporator and Blower Module in Express 4500 V8-60L (2010)
12. Remove the retaining nuts from the underside of the auxiliary HVAC module.
13. Lower the vehicle.
14. Remove the auxiliary HVAC module.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the auxiliary HVAC module.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
3. Install the retaining nuts to the underside of the auxiliary HVAC module and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Connect the heater lines to the underside of the auxiliary heater.
5. Install the one retaining nut to the auxiliary evaporator underbody rear tube assembly to the core and tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb ft).
6. Install the cover to the underside of the auxiliary HVAC module.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Connect the electrical connectors to the auxiliary HVAC module (1).
9. Install the air distribution duct upper. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct Replacement (See: Air Register/Service and
Repair/Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct Replacement).
10. Install the air distribution duct lower. Refer to Auxiliary Heater Air Outlet Duct Replacement (See: Air Duct/Service and Repair/Auxiliary Heater
Air Outlet Duct Replacement).
11. Install the left rear corner garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement).
12. Install the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side).
13. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and
Recharging).
