REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Certain components in the Antilock Brake System (ABS) are not intended to be serviced individually. Attempting to remove or
disconnect certain system components may result in personal injury and/or improper system operation. Only those component with
approved removal and installation procedures should be serviced.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Clean the outside of the reservoir.
3. Disconnect the fluid level switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the reservoir cap. Siphon the fluid from the reservoir.
5. Remove the reservoir pin (3) using a hammer and a punch.
6. Remove the reservoir (1) and the grommets (3) from the master cylinder (4).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the new reservoir grommets (3) into the master cylinder (4). Ensure that the grommets (3) are seated properly.
2. Lubricate the grommets (3) with new, clean brake fluid.
