INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Bench bleed the master cylinder.
2. Install the master cylinder and the new gasket to the vacuum booster. Secure with two mounting nuts and washers.

Tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.).
3. Install the brake pipes to the master cylinder (and the proportioning valve on models with ABS). Secure with brake pipe nuts.

Tighten the master cylinder brake pipe flare nuts to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the fluid level switch electrical connector.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Bleed the brake system.
Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
IMPORTANT: Keep the master cylinder reservoir properly filled in order to insure adequate fluid reserve and in order to prevent air from entering
the hydraulic system. Do not overfill the master cylinder because heat absorbed from the brakes and the engine may cause the fluid to expand.
1. Clean the reservoir cap before removal in order to prevent dirt from entering the reservoir.
2. Remove the master cylinder brake fluid reservoir cap.
3. Fill the reservoir until the fluid reaches the MAX mark.
4. Install the reservoir cap.
