Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:  Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following components:

6 screws

^

5 plastic clips

^

The left side wheelhouse panel

3. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connectors..
4. Disconnect the washer hoses (6).
5. Remove the following components From the vehicle:

^

2 nuts

^

The washer fluid reservoir assembly (4)

6. Remove the washer pumps (5) From the reservoir (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the washer pumps (5) to the washer fluid reservoir (4).
2. Connect the washer pump electrical connectors..
3. Connect the washer hoses (6).

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the reservoir assembly (4) to the vehicle. Secure the reservoir assembly with 2 retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the washer fluid reservoir assembly retaining nuts to 13 N.m (115 lb in).

5. Install the left side wheelhouse panel. Secure the panel with 6 screws and 5 plastic clips.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
