Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair
Power Steering Return Hose Replacement

POWER STEERING GEAR OUTLET FRONT PIPE (LOWER RETURN HOSE) REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Siphon power steering fluid from the reservoir.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. 
3. Loosen the power steering gear outlet hose clamp.
4. Remove the power steering gear outlet front hose (2) from the intermediate outlet pipe (14).
5. Remove the power steering gear outlet front hose (2) from the steering gear (7).

POWER STEERING GEAR OUTLET FRONT PIPE (LOWER RETURN HOSE) INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the power steering gear outlet front hose (2) to the steering gear (7).
2. Install the power steering gear outlet front hose (2) to the intermediate outlet pipe (14). Secure with the hose clamp.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to BLEEDING POWER STEERING SYSTEM.

POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR HOSE WITH CLIPS AND OUTLET REAR HOSE (UPPER RETURN HOSE) REMOVAL
PROCEDURE

1. Siphon power steering fluid from the reservoir.
2. Remove the 2 hex bolts from the 2 power steering fluid reservoir hose clips.
3. Loosen the 2 power steering hose clamps on the reservoir hose near the reservoir.
4. Remove the 2 power steering fluid reservoir hoses from the reservoir.
5. Loosen the power steering hose clamp on the reservoir hose near the power steering pump.
6. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir hose from the power steering pump.
7. Loosen the power steering hose clamp on the reservoir hose near the intermediate outlet pipe.
8. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir hose from the intermediate outlet pipe.

POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR HOSE WITH CLIPS AND OUTLET REAR HOSE (UPPER RETURN HOSE) INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE

1. Install the power steering fluid reservoir hose to the intermediate outlet pipe. Secure with the hose clamp.
2. Install the power steering fluid reservoir hose to the power steering pump. Secure with the hose clamp.
3. Install the 2 power steering fluid reservoir hoses to the reservoir. Ensure the hoses are routed properly. Secure with the 2 hose clamps.
4. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to BLEEDING POWER STEERING SYSTEM.
