Prizm L4-108 1.8L DOHC VIN 8 MFI (1998)
13. Install the LH lower engine splash shield. Secure with 6 bolts
Tighten
Tighten the engine splash shield bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
14. Install the RH lower engine splash shield (1). Secure with 6 bolts
Tighten
Tighten the engine splash shield bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
15. Lower the vehicle.
16. Remove the J 28467-360. Refer to ENGINE SUPPORT FIXTURE.
17. Install the oxygen sensor gasket and the oxygen sensor. Refer to HOSE REPLACEMENT (SENSOR 1) in POWERTRAIN MANAGEMENT.
18. Connect the oxygen sensor connector.
19. Connect the steering gear outlet front pipe (2) to the steering gear. Secure with one nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 13 Nm (108 inch lbs.).
20. Connect the steering gear inlet pipe (4) to the steering gear. Secure with one nut.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 13 Nm (108 inch lbs.).
21. Install the following components:
21.1. The LH steering gear inlet and outlet pipe clip (14)
21.2. The RH steering gear outlet pipe clip bolt
21.3. The LH steering gear inlet and outlet pipe clip bolt (12)
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.).
