Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRES AND
WHEELS.
3. Scribe matchmarks between the following components:

The stabilizer shaft bushings
^
The stabilizer
^
The body
4. Remove the flex hose (4) from the strut assembly (2).
5. Remove the brake line clip.
6. Remove the following components from the rear suspension knuckle:
^
The two nuts
^
The two bolts
^
The strut assembly
7. Remove the following components:
^
The four nuts
^
The left stabilizer shaft joint
^
The right stabilizer shaft joint
8. Remove the following components
^
The four bolts
^
The left stabilizer shaft bushing retainer
^
The right stabilizer shaft bushing retainer
9. Remove the stabilizer shaft bushings (1).
10. Support the fuel tank.
