Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
3 Speed-MB3 Automatic Transmission

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the negative (-) battery cable.

CAUTION:  Refer to Battery Disconnect in Service Precautions.

2. Loosen the TV cable locknut and adjust the nut.
3. Remove the TV cable from the throttle valve linkage and TV cable bracket.
4. Remove the TV cable from the TV cable guide bracket at top of the transaxle.
5. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting Points.

6. Remove the 6 bolts and the left splash shield (1) from the vehicle.
7. Place a drain pan or a suitable container under the transaxle fluid pan.

8. Remove the transaxle drain plug (2) from the transaxle, fluid pan (1) and drain transaxle fluid.
