Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT 

-

Raise the vehicle on a hoist.

1. Frame bracket nuts and bolts from shock absorber.
2. Anchor plate nut and washer from shock absorber.
3. Shock absorber from the vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Shock absorber to the lower anchor plate.

Do not attach the washer or nut.

2. Shock absorber to the frame bracket with the bolts and nuts.  
3. Lower anchor plate washer and nut.

-

Tighten nut to 34 Nm (62 ft. lbs.).

Lower the vehicle.
